A Space You Can Feel Safe, Seen, and Supported.

Welcome to Mindwell Therapy—a place where you’ll feel understood and supported. We’re here to help children, teens, adults, and couples heal and grow, with compassionate care for those navigating trauma. Let’s walk this path to healing together

"Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light."

Often what we are focusing most of our attention and energy on in life are things that we cannot control. We worry about what others are doing and thinking, what is happening around the world, regrets from the past and so on. What is causing us stress and anxiety will only continue and possibly get worse if it is not addressed.

Mental health is not an easy “off and on light switch”. You can’t all of the sudden wake up and tell yourself, “oh, I have anxiety, I am going to stop that”. It’s something you have to break down, bit by bit, day by day, until one day you can feel a breath of fresh air.

We want to help you re-find your control in your life. By first finding a sense of inner calmness. We often think we will “finally be happy when. . .” But that only leads to failure and disappointment.  You have the ability to be happy and peaceful, even in the midst of chaos and uncertainty. And we would be honored if we can come along side you and help you in that process.

  • How are parents involved in teen and child therapy?
At Mindwell Therapy, we believe in partnering with parents to support each child’s progress. In child and teen therapy, we maintain a balance between respecting your child’s privacy and keeping you informed. For younger children, we often check in with parents regularly to share updates and offer guidance on supporting therapeutic goals at home. We might offer 35 minutes of child therapy and then have a weekly 15 minute follow up phone call with the parent. With teens, we respect their need for a safe, private space to express themselves, while also keeping parents updated on general themes and progress as appropriate. Parental involvement can include consultations, parent-coaching sessions, or collaborative family sessions if beneficial. We’re here to create a supportive team approach, working closely with you to help your child or teen thrive. Ask your assigned therapist and they will have an individualized plan!
  • Do you offer virtual therapy sessions?
Yes, we offer virtual therapy sessions for clients who prefer the convenience and comfort of meeting from home. Virtual sessions are available for teens, couples and adults, though some types of therapy, like play therapy for younger children, may be most effective in-person. Our therapists use secure, HIPAA-compliant Google Meet for virtual sessions to ensure your privacy and confidentiality. Please note that since we are licensed only in Texas, you must be physically located in Texas during your virtual session. If you’re interested in virtual sessions, feel free to reach out—we’re here to help you find the option that works best for you.
