Nice to meet you!  I personally understand the struggle it can be to finally be at that point with no other option but to reach out and ask for help.  But you made it, you’re here. If you feel like you are usually able to handle things well but you’re currently in a season where you just feel like everything is falling apart. . .breathe, you’re doing the best you can.

Through my career, training and own experiences, I’ve learned that emotional wellness involves more than just talking about your feelings. It’s about looking at the whole person — physical, social, spiritual and mind.  I work primarily with people who have experienced trauma, utilizing EMDR and other talk therapies.

I am a therapist and the owner at Mindwell Therapy. I graduating with my Masters in Social Work from the University of Houston in 2016 since then have work in family services, community mental health and outpatient centers for substance abuse. I’ve been in private practice since 2021 and one of my best compliments I’ve ever received from a client is when they said “I can tell you truly love what you do”.

I am so glad you are here. I know how difficult it can be to take the first steps in exploring therapy as an option. One can feel uneasy about this first step, but here you are. It is expected to hit times or circumstances in your life that have been difficult to handle. Whether you have experienced trauma-related circumstances or are navigating depression or anxiety, varying life circumstances from marriage to parenting, I hope to create a safe and judgment-free place for you to feel heard, feel understood, and be who you are. You can do this. Every part of you is welcome.

I specialize in trauma-competent care, teen issues, women’s issues, ADHD, sexual assault, trauma, parenting, addiction, perfectionism, depression, anxiety, and parenting children with depression and anxiety.      My welcoming approach to the therapeutic process is one of collaboration with a desire for you to feel and be empowered in your life. Healing is not a linear process, but healing is possible. Moving forward is possible. I look forward to building a collaborative and trusting working relationship with you.                                                                                                     While beginning my career in therapy, my experiences and learning have led to the high value I place on one’s emotional health. Being curious about what makes you, you. Every part of you is welcome here. I primarily work with people who have experienced trauma, utilizing EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and internal family systems (IFS).
