Who Am I?
Hello! I'm Christi Bragg (she/her), and I'm truly delighted you've found your way here. Taking this first step toward therapy often requires tremendous courage, and I honor your bravery in reaching out. That flutter of uncertainty you might be feeling? It's a completely natural part of beginning something new and meaningful.
I create a sanctuary where you can bring your whole self—all your strengths, struggles, questions, and hopes. Whether you're carrying the weight of past trauma, moving through the fog of depression or anxiety, or navigating life's complex transitions like relationship challenges, parenting journeys, perimenopause, or menopause—you'll find a warm, accepting presence waiting to walk alongside you.
In our work together, you'll never be just another appointment in my calendar. You'll be a unique individual with your own story, deserving of compassionate attention and skillful care. I believe deeply in your innate capacity to heal and grow, even when that might feel impossible to imagine right now.
My approach blends gentle compassion with empowering guidance. I'll listen deeply, validate your experiences, and offer genuine connection while also providing the practical tools and insights that can transform your relationship with yourself and your life circumstances.
Remember this: healing is possible, you deserve support on this journey, and every part of you—even the parts you might struggle to accept—is welcome in our space together. You don't have to figure everything out alone anymore. I'm here, ready to help light the path forward when you're ready to take that next step.
I love working with:
Individuals experiencing CPTSD and PTSD from past trauma
Clients with anxiety and depression
Using EMDR to reprocess childhood and adult trauma, as well as assist with performance anxiety and enhancement
People navigating and healing from religious trauma
Adults with ADHD
Couples experiencing relationship stress
Survivors of sexual violence and trauma
Women navigating the emotional and psychological aspects of perimenopause and menopause
Some of my favorite approaches include:
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): This evidence-based therapy helps process and integrate traumatic memories, reducing their lingering effects and creating new neural pathways for healing.
Internal Family Systems (IFS): IFS explores and heals the different parts of yourself, fostering self-compassion and understanding.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): DBT combines acceptance and change strategies to help develop mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills, providing practical tools for managing intense emotions.
Somatic/Body-Centered Therapies: These therapies emphasize the connection between mind and body, helping you process and release stored physical tension and trauma.
Hormone-Informed Therapeutic Approach: Understanding how hormonal fluctuations during perimenopause and menopause affect mood, cognition, and emotional well-being to provide targeted support.
These approaches allow me to tailor the therapeutic experience to your unique needs, fostering a collaborative and empowering environment where you can explore your experiences, challenges, and strengths.
What it’s like in a session with me:
When you step into our therapy space—whether virtual or in-person—you'll be greeted with warmth, authenticity, and genuine care. I create an environment where you can take a deep breath and simply be yourself. Imagine a place where every emotion is valid, where your experiences are met with compassion rather than judgment, and where your strengths are celebrated alongside your struggles.
In our work together, you are the expert on your life, and I am your compassionate guide and fellow explorer. We'll move at your pace, especially when addressing trauma, ensuring you feel safe and in control of your healing journey. I'll gently hold space for your pain while helping you recognize your incredible resilience.
For trauma survivors, I'll carefully help you build a foundation of safety and stability first, honoring your readiness before we explore deeper healing. Using EMDR, we'll process difficult memories in a way that feels manageable and transformative. With DBT skills, you'll discover new ways to navigate overwhelming emotions. Through IFS, we'll get to know and care for all parts of yourself, even those you might have hidden away. And with somatic approaches, we'll tune into your body's wisdom when words fall short.
For women in perimenopause or menopause, I offer a haven where the complex symphony of hormonal shifts and their impact on your mental health is fully understood. Together, we'll navigate mood changes, anxiety, sleep challenges, and questions of identity with practical strategies and deep validation—never minimizing your experience.
I believe in empowering you with knowledge about your mind, body, and the therapeutic process itself. By understanding the "why" behind our approaches and the "how" of your own patterns, you become an active architect of your healing. This knowledge builds lasting skills that extend far beyond our sessions together.
Our journey won't always be linear—healing rarely is—but it will be meaningful, and sometimes even filled with unexpected moments of joy and discovery. I'll be right beside you through the valleys and peaks, celebrating each step forward and gently supporting you when the path feels challenging. Remember, you already have everything you need within you—my role is simply to help you uncover your innate wisdom and strength.
More about me:
When I'm not in the therapy room, you'll find me fully embracing life's beautiful chaos as a wife to my amazing husband Matt and mom to our five incredible children, who range from 9 to 26 years old. Our home is filled with laughter, occasional teenage drama, impromptu dance parties, and the constant juggling act that comes with a big family. These personal experiences—including navigating my own midlife transitions—have deepened my empathy and understanding in ways no textbook ever could.
There's something magical about watching your child score their first goal or perform on stage that fills my heart completely. You'll often find me on the sidelines of various sports fields, cheering enthusiastically (sometimes embarrassingly so, according to my kids!) as they pursue their passions.
Nature has always been my sanctuary and reset button. Give me a challenging hiking trail, a crackling fire pit under the stars, and a good book, and I'm in my happy place. These moments of connection with the natural world help me maintain the balance and presence I bring to our therapy work together.
My heart extends beyond my immediate family through my advocacy work. Serving on the boards of Sacred Wilderness/BBTB and Louder Than Silence (LTS) allows me to support survivors of sexual violence and religious trauma—work that continuously humbles and inspires me. I've also had the profound honor of collaborating with the Stalking Prevention, Awareness, & Resource Center (SPARC) to develop a national model stalking policy, helping ensure that law enforcement effectively protects those experiencing stalking.
These professional and personal elements of my life interweave to create the therapist I am today—someone who deeply understands life's complexities, believes in the resilience of the human spirit, and considers it a genuine privilege to witness your journey toward healing and wholeness.
